Round 2

As the gate's violet glow intensified, the air seemed to thicken with anticipation. The shimmering field of arcane energy clung to the stone like a living entity, pulsating in rhythmic harmony with Jeane's incantation. Halie's Continual Light spell cast a warm, golden radiance around the party, banishing the shadows and illuminating the crumbling masonry. Merrin's fingers danced along the seams between stones, searching for hidden mechanisms that might betray the gate's secrets. Seraphine's eyes sparkled with intensity as she traced the runes' intricate patterns, her voice weaving a subtle spell of discovery. Varrika stood watch in the darkness, crossbow cocked and ready to unleash its fury upon any undead that dared to breach the threshold.
