Round 3

As the party huddled around the ancient rune-covered gate, Jeane's Lesser Warding spell cast a protective circle of runes within a 10-foot radius, buying them time to ponder their next move. Halie's measured tone conveyed her gratitude for Jeane's aid, but also a lingering concern about the ward's brevity – seven minutes at most. Merrin scouted the gate and surrounding area, searching for traps or weak points, while Seraphine studied the glowing runes with an intensity that spoke of ancient knowledge. Varrika maintained vigilant watch on the perimeter, her crossbow at the ready to provide covering fire if needed. The air was heavy with moisture and unseen movement, the flickering torches casting eerie shadows on the cracked stone.
