Round 2

[Narrator | Narrator]
The Narrator restates the undertaking plainly, fixes the stakes in the room, and presses the cast to make their positions clear before the meeting can end.

[Jeane | Sorcerer]
I look at each of them with a cold, appraising stare. Very well. Let me be crystal clear about my position, so there's no mistaking it: I will participate on my terms and under my conditions, or not at all. This is not charity work; we are selling our skills to the highest bidder, which in this case happens to be survival itself. If the sword exists—and that's a very large 'if'—then its value is immense enough to justify extreme measures. But make no mistake: I'm not walking into an obvious death trap for anyone's sake.

[Halie | Cleric]
I will participate on my conditions and under my conscience. I cannot in good faith walk into a cursed tower knowing we might leave each other behind to die. If we go in, we come out as one unit, alive if possible, or not at all. And the moment any of us senses the sword itself is cursed, we halt and bind it before proceeding. That is my stance.

[Merrin | Rogue]
I take a deep breath, steeling myself. I'll be honest, the thought of walking into that accursed tower terrifies me. But... I glance around at my companions, seeing determination mixed with fear in their eyes. If we're all in this together, if we have a real chance of making it out alive, then I'll participate. But I want assurances about our extraction if things go south. And if that sword is cursed... I shudder. I want to know what we're dealing with before we even set foot in that place. This job feels like a one-way ticket to hell, but I trust you all to have my back. Just promise me we're not throwing our lives away for some fairytale treasure.

[Seraphine | Wizard]
I look around the table, meeting each person's gaze with a calm certainty that belies the knot tightening in my stomach. The risk is immense. The potential reward, however, is... I pause, the word 'transformative' hanging unspoken in the air. If this is truly an artifact capable of manipulating time itself, then it could rewrite our very understanding of reality. As a scholar, as one who seeks knowledge above all else, I cannot simply walk away from such a possibility. But I will not be a party to reckless suicide. I straighten my shoulders, my voice becoming firm. My terms are simple: We proceed with the utmost caution, using every resource and bit of knowledge we can muster about this tower and its guardians. We plan meticulously, prepare thoroughly, and execute with precision. And if, at any point, I feel the risk has become too great or the curse too potent to contain, I reserve the right to call for an immediate withdrawal. Those are my conditions. If they are not acceptable, then I will refuse this undertaking entirely.

[Varrika | Fighter]
we have a solid plan for extraction if things go south. And if that sword is cursed, I want to know about it before we even touch the damn thing. I'm not walking into a death trap blind.
