As Sister Hale spoke, her voice cut through the oppressive silence like a beacon of reassurance amidst the darkness. Silra crouched low against the damp stone wall, her teal eyes scanning every inch of the deliberately constructed subterranean corridor with an intensity that bordered on desperation. The tool marks around the shaft opening were fresh, and she could feel the weight of deliberate construction bearing down upon them.

The air was heavy with the scent of decay and ozone, and Silra's fingers traced the roughhewn rock mixed with older masonry work, each layer hiding secrets darker than the last. "This isn't a natural cave system," she whispered to Sister Hale and Jeane, her voice barely audible over the stillness. "Someone built these tunnels intentionally, and I think it's connected to our current predicament."

Sister Hale stepped closer to Silra, her symbol pulsing with dark energy in response to whatever was suppressing Jeane's magic. The cleric's eyes scanned over Jeane, taking in the scrape marks on her face but also the determination etched into her features. "Silra's right," she said quietly, her voice a gentle counterpoint to Silra's urgency. "This wasn't an accident." As she spoke, Sister Hale's gaze flicked to the eastern wall, where structural instability seemed to be lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike.
