Round 4

As Jeane's Identify Rune spell partially decoded the gate runes, two enchantments became clear, but the dormant ward's trigger sequence remained shrouded in mystery. The sorceress's hands danced across the ancient carvings, her dark wings rustling softly as she worked to unravel the puzzle. Halie watched intently, her holy symbol glowing with a soft, blue light that highlighted the intricate patterns of magic woven into the gate's runes.

Meanwhile, Seraphine knelt beside Jeane, tracing the lines of power with deliberate fingers, searching for the subtle interplay of energies that might reveal the dormant ward's trigger. Her eyes narrowed, focused on the complex sequences, as she sought to decipher the puzzle born of a darker, more malevolent age. Varrika crouched at the gate's base, her roughened hands tracing the cracks and crevices in the weathered stone, searching for any sign of weakness or instability that might allow them to bypass the ancient barrier without triggering its deadly defenses.
