Round 932 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As Varikka and Merrin split up to search for an exit, the ground beneath them gives a sickening crunch. A section of the floor has collapsed, sending a cloud of dust and debris into the air. The oily substance on the floor seems to be pulling everything down, and the sound of its viscous flow is like a living thing, hungry and relentless. Varikka's eyes widen as she realizes that the chamber is collapsing around her, and she knows she has to move fast if she wants to survive. She takes a deep breath and sprints towards the left side of the chamber, the Time-Splitting Sword in her hand glowing with an intense blue-white light.
I feel a chill run down my spine as the ground beneath me gives a sickening crunch. The oily substance on the floor seems to be pulling everything down, like a living thing hungry for more. I watch as Varikka sprints towards the left side of the chamber, her injured ankle throbbing with each step but her grip on the Time-Splitting Sword tight and unwavering. I know we can't afford to lose each other in here, but the chamber is collapsing around us, and time is running out. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what's to come. This is it - our only chance at survival. I have to find a way out of this place, and fast. I scan the walls, my eyes searching for any sign of an exit - a crack in the stone, a loose brick, anything that might lead us to safety. But all I see are reflections - broken, distorted images that seem to mock our desperate search. The Guardian's roars grow louder, its massive form growing closer with each passing second. I know we're running out of time. If we don't find a way out soon, we'll be buried alive - or worse, at the mercy of the Guardian. I take a tentative step forward, my boots slipping on the oily substance coating the floor. The ground beneath me shifts, and I feel a wave of panic wash over me as I realize that the chamber is collapsing around us. We have to move now, or we'll be trapped forever in this nightmarish place. I glance back at Varikka, my heart pounding in my chest as I see the fear in her eyes. "Varikka!" I call out, my voice barely audible over the Guardian's roars. "We need to stick together! There has to be a way out of here!"
She nods, her face etched with pain and exhaustion. Together, we take a tentative step forward, our bodies pressed close as we navigate the treacherous terrain. The oily substance on the floor clings to our boots like a dark stain, making every step a challenge. But we can't afford to slow down. Not with the Guardian bearing down on us and the chamber crumbling around our ears. We have to keep moving, keep searching for any sign of an exit - even if it means risking everything. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what's to come. This is it - our last chance at survival. And I'll be damned if I let this place swallow us whole. Together, we push deeper into the chamber, our hearts pounding in our chests as we race against the clock. The Guardian's roars fade into the distance, but the ominous rumble of collapsing stone follows us like a dark shadow. We're running out of time. And if we don't find a way to survive, this ancient chamber will be our grave. But even as the ground shifts and the walls close in around us, I know one thing for certain: we won't go down without a fight.
