Round 902 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Merrin: I see the ledge! Hold on, I'm coming! As Merrin swam towards the ledge, she expertly maneuvered herself to avoid the strong current, her injured ankle screaming in protest with each stroke. She finally reached the edge of the chamber and pulled herself up onto the narrow ledge, just as the water below surged forward. Varikka's voice called out from the rubble, "Merrin, please! You have to find a way out, I'm not strong enough to hold on much longer!"
The Guardian's roar grew louder, echoing off the walls of the chamber as it smashed through the barrier behind Varikka. The ground beneath them shuddered, and the sound of creaking stone filled the air.
Varrika: Merrin, I hear your voice! Stay where you are, I'm coming to help you! I try to stand up but the pain in my ankle is excruciating. I look around frantically for anything I can use to support myself and find a sturdy-looking piece of rubble nearby. Using it as a crutch, I manage to hobble over to where Merrin's voice was coming from.
As I round a bend in the tunnel, I see her clinging to a narrow ledge, the water rushing past her feet. The Guardian's roar echoes through the passage again and I feel a chill run down my spine. We're running out of time.
Merrin, thank the gods you're alive! Here, let me help you up. I reach out with my free hand, trying to grasp Merrin's arm and pull her towards me. My ankle screams in protest but I grit my teeth and ignore the pain. We have to get out of here before the Guardian catches up to us.
I grab your hand tightly, my heart racing as I try to pull myself up onto the ledge. The water is rushing past my feet, threatening to sweep me away at any moment. "Thank you, Varikka," I gasp out, my breath coming in ragged pants. "We need to find a way out of here, quickly!"
As I haul myself onto the ledge, I can feel the ground beneath us shuddering with the force of the Guardian's approach. The sound of creaking stone fills the air, and I know that we don't have much time left. I look around frantically, my eyes searching for any sign of an escape route. The chamber we're in is small, with only one visible exit - a narrow tunnel leading off into the darkness. "Varikka," I say urgently, "we need to get out of here. Can you walk?"
Varikka's face is set with pain, but she nods grimly. "I can manage," she says through gritted teeth. "But we need to be careful. My ankle is badly sprained, and I'm not sure how much weight it can take."
I nod, my mind already racing ahead to our next move. "Alright," I say, "let's make our way to that tunnel. It's our only chance."
