As Merrin drops down into the churning water, she uses the orb's light to guide her through the turbulent flow. She swims against the current, her muscles straining to keep pace with the rushing water. The water is now mere feet from her toes, and she can feel the icy current rippling up the tunnel walls. Suddenly, a massive stone slab dislodged from the ceiling crashes down onto the river floor, sending water and debris flying. The impact sends Merrin tumbling through the churning water, her grip on the orb faltering as she struggles to stay afloat. Her ankle, already severely injured, throbs in agony as she tries to swim against the current. As she resurfaces, gasping for air, Merrin spots a faint light up ahead - the soft glow of lanterns, perhaps?
