Varikka's ankle throbs as she takes another step forward, her mace clutched tightly in her hand. The ground beneath their feet shifts and gives way, the walls closing in around them as they move deeper into the chamber. The air is thick with an otherworldly energy, making it difficult to breathe. Merrin's eyes scan the darkness, her hands on Varikka's shoulders as she tries to steady her. "We need to move, now!" she calls out, her voice hoarse with urgency. The chanting grows louder, more insistent, until it becomes a deafening whisper that fills their ears. As they stumble forward, a section of the wall slides open, revealing a narrow passageway. The Guardian's voice echoes through the chamber, "You will not escape me!" The ground shudders beneath their feet, and the walls begin to close in even faster.

Merrin · Rogue

I grit my teeth, my heart pounding as I haul Varikka along with me. "Hold on tight," I hiss, my eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of danger. The chanting grows louder, more insistent, until it becomes a deafening whisper that fills our ears. As we stumble forward, a section of the wall slides open, revealing a narrow passageway. The Guardian's voice echoes through the chamber, "You will not escape me!"

The ground shudders beneath our feet, and I can feel the panic rising in my chest. But I push it down, focusing instead on the steady rhythm of Varikka's breathing beside me. We stagger forward, one step at a time, our hearts pounding in our chests as we search the shadows for any sign of danger. As we move deeper into the passageway, I can feel the walls closing in around us. The air is thick with an otherworldly energy, making it difficult to breathe. But I don't let it slow me down. I know we need to act quickly if we hope to escape this place alive. And so I press on, one step at a time, my heart pounding in my chest as I search the shadows for any sign of danger. And as we move deeper into the darkness, I can't shake the feeling that something terrible is waiting for us at the end of this tunnel. Something that will test us in ways we never imagined. But I'm ready for it. We both are. For now, all we can do is keep moving forward, one step at a time, and hope that whatever fresh hell awaits us down here, we have the strength to survive it. Together.

Varrika

Varrika · Fighter

I grit my teeth against the pain, my heart pounding as Merrin hauls me along. "The Guardian is right," I pant, my voice strained. "We're not getting out of here." The dwarf warrior's ankle throbs like a bastard, but she knows they can't stop now. Not with the walls closing in and the Guardian's voice echoing through the chamber. "We need to find another way," she says, her eyes scanning the shadows for any sign of escape. "There has to be another way out of this damn place."

Varikka takes a deep breath, steeling herself as they stagger forward into the darkness. She knows they're in trouble, but she also knows that Merrin is the one with the strength and the agility to navigate these treacherous tunnels. And so she puts her trust in the other woman, letting her take the lead as they move deeper into the passageway. Something that will test them in ways they never imagined. But she's not afraid. She's a fighter, through and through, and she knows that no matter what fresh hell awaits them down here, she'll face it head-on. With Merrin by her side, she knows they have a fighting chance. And so she presses on, one step at a time, her mace clutched tight in her hand as she follows Merrin deeper into the darkness. She knows they need to act quickly if they hope to escape this place alive. But she also knows that whatever fresh hell awaits them down here, they'll face it together. Side by side, no matter what.
