Merrin carefully wraps the bandage around Varikka's ankle, her hands moving with precision. As she finishes, a loud creaking sound echoes through the chamber, and the ground beneath them lurches violently. The sound of rushing water grows louder still, and the air is filled with the acrid scent of damp earth and decay. The ground beneath Varikka gives a faint shudder, and she cries out in pain, her injured ankle throbbing. The alcove they had chosen to wait in begins to flood, the water rising rapidly. Merrin quickly helps Varikka to her feet, her eyes scanning the narrow opening they emerged from for any sign of structural instability. Elric's voice echoes through the chamber, "I warned you, adventurers, this place is treacherous... The Guardian lies in wait, and so does the unknown figure in the new chamber."

I help Varikka to her feet, my heart pounding in my chest as the water rises rapidly around us. "We need to move," I say urgently, my eyes scanning the narrow opening for any sign of structural instability. "Can you walk?"

Varikka nods, gritting her teeth against the pain in her ankle as she takes a tentative step forward. "I can manage," she says, her voice tight with effort. "But we need to find a way out of here before this whole place comes crashing down around us."

I nod in agreement, my mind racing as I try to remember the layout of the chamber beyond the tunnel we had just emerged from. "Stay close to me," I say, reaching out to grasp Varikka's arm. "And watch your step. The ground is treacherous, and we don't know what other traps or obstacles might be waiting for us."

As we make our way towards the narrow opening, I can't shake the feeling that something is off about this place. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth and decay, and the sound of rushing water echoes through the chamber, growing louder with each passing moment.

Suddenly, a loud creaking sound fills the air, and the ground beneath us lurches violently. I stumble, my arms flailing as I try to regain my balance. Varikka cries out in pain, her injured ankle twisting beneath her. "Merrin!" she gasps, reaching out for me.

I lunge forward, grabbing Varikka's arm and steadying her against the wall. "I've got you," I say, my voice firm as I wrap an arm around her waist to support her weight. "We need to keep moving. The tunnel is unstable, and we don't have much time."

As we limp forward, the ground beneath us gives another faint shudder, and a deep rumbling sound fills the air. "Something's not right," I mutter, my eyes narrowing as I try to make out any signs of danger in the dim light. "Stay alert. We don't know what we might be walking into."

With each step, the ground grows more treacherous, and the sound of rushing water grows louder still. The air is thick with the scent of damp earth and decay, and the walls seem to close in around us, pressing down from all sides. "Varikka, can you hear that?" I ask, my voice barely audible over the roar of the water. "It's like... like the whole mountain is coming alive."

Varikka nods, her face pale and drawn with pain and exhaustion. "I know," she says, her voice tight. "But we can't stop now. We have to keep moving forward, no matter what happens."

I grit my teeth against the pain in my ankle as we make our way through the narrow tunnel, my hand gripping Merrin's arm for support. The sound of rushing water grows louder with each step, and the air is thick with the scent of damp earth and decay. Keep moving, Varikka, I tell myself, taking a deep breath to steady my nerves. We can't stop now. We have to find a way out of this godforsaken place.*

As we round a corner, the tunnel opens up into a larger chamber, the walls glistening with moisture in the dim light. Merrin's face is a mask of concentration as she scans the room, her eyes darting from side to side. What do you see? I ask, my voice a hushed whisper. I'm not sure, Merrin replies, her brow furrowing. But something feels off about this place. Like we're being watched.*

A shiver runs down my spine at her words, and I find myself reaching for the hilt of my mace, the weight of the weapon comforting in my hand. The ground beneath us gives another ominous shudder, and a deep rumbling sound fills the air. Varikka, Merrin says, her voice tight with urgency. We need to keep moving. There's no telling what might come rushing through this tunnel behind us.*

I nod, taking a deep breath as I prepare to limp forward once more. The pain in my ankle is excruciating, but I know that we can't afford to stop now. We have to keep pushing ahead, no matter what lies ahead. Lead the way, I say, my voice grim. And watch your back. I've got point.*
