My heart pounds as I watch the massive boulder crash down from the ceiling, the impact sending shockwaves through the ground beneath my feet. I stumble forward, grabbing onto Varikka's arm to steady myself as we both struggle to maintain our balance in the churning water.

As the dust settles, I can see the extent of the damage - chunks of stone and debris litter the floor, creating a treacherous path through the chamber. The water is still rising, lapping at our waists and threatening to sweep us off our feet at any moment.

I turn to Varikka, my voice barely audible over the sound of the rushing water. "We need to keep moving," I say, my words shaking slightly but determined. "There's no telling how long this island will stay clear."

Varikka nods, her grip on my arm tightening as we begin to make our way through the chamber. The ground is slick and unstable, making each step a struggle against the current. But we push on, driven by the knowledge that our lives depend on it.

As we round a corner, we come face-to-face with another obstacle - a massive boulder, blocking our path forward. The water is rising higher here, lapping at our chests and threatening to pull us back down into the depths below.

I turn to Varikka, my voice rising above the din. "We need to find a way around this," I say, my eyes scanning the chamber for any signs of a path forward. "There has to be something we can use to move it."

Varikka nods, her hands moving to the massive boulder as she begins to push against it with all her might. But the stone is too heavy, too immovable in the face of our combined strength.

I can feel the panic rising in my throat as I watch Varikka struggle, the water lapping higher and higher around us with each passing second. We're running out of time, and I can't shake the feeling that this is just another trap, designed to keep us from escaping this watery prison.

But even as the fear threatens to overwhelm me, I know we have no choice but to keep fighting. To keep pushing forward, no matter what obstacles stand in our way. Because if we give up now, we might never see the light of day again.
