The tension in Flooding chamber with unstable stone passage and rising water pressure tightens for a beat as the interruption refuses to go away. Everyone is forced to stay quiet and choose their next move carefully.

My heart pounds in my chest as Varikka and I cling to the narrow ledge, the water lapping at our feet and threatening to sweep us away at any moment. The ground beneath us creaks ominously, sending shudders through my entire body as more rocks and debris come tumbling down from the ceiling.

I can feel the fear rising in my throat, the urge to panic and scream and run. But I know that will only make things worse. We need to stay calm, stay focused, and find a way out of this before it's too late.

I glance over at Varikka, seeing the same terror in her eyes that I feel in my own. But there's something else there too - a determination, a refusal to give up even as the water rises higher and higher around us.

I know we can't stay here. The ledge is crumbling, the passage is collapsing, and if we don't find somewhere safer soon, we'll be swept away for good. But with Merrin gone and Varikka injured, our options are limited.

I take a deep breath, trying to steady myself as I scan the chamber one more time. And that's when I see it - a small, dark opening in the wall, hidden behind a pile of rubble. It's a risk, but it might be our only chance.

I turn to Varikka, my voice shaking slightly but determined. "There," I say, pointing to the opening. "We need to make a run for it, now."

Varikka nods, her grip on my arm tightening as we start to make our way along the ledge. The water is up to our knees now, making each step a struggle against the current. But we push on, driven by the desperate need to survive.

As we reach the opening, I hesitate for a moment, wondering if this could be another trap. But with the ground shaking beneath us and the floodwaters rising higher every second, we don't have a choice.

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what comes next. "Here goes," I mutter under my breath, as Varikka and I dive into the darkness, praying that whatever lies ahead is better than what we're leaving behind.
