Round 200 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Merrin's voice cuts through the din, pulling Varikka and Seraphine back from the water's edge. The creatures close in, their bioluminescent markings pulsing brighter as they sense their prey. With a burst of adrenaline, Varikka sprints toward the opening in the wall, her torch held high. The water laps at her heels as she dashes across the lake, her eyes fixed on the narrow opening. Seraphine stumbles behind, her trance-like state broken only by Merrin's firm grip on her arm. As they near the opening, the water surges forward, threatening to sweep Varikka off her feet.
I sprint after Varikka, my heart pounding in my chest as we make our way towards the narrow opening in the wall. Seraphine stumbles behind me, her trance-like state broken only by my firm grip on her arm.
As we near the opening, I can see the water surging forward, threatening to sweep Varikka off her feet. I reach out, grabbing her arm just as a wave crashes against her legs. "Keep going!" I shout, pushing her towards the opening.
The creatures are closing in behind us, their bioluminescent markings pulsing brighter as they sense our desperation. I can hear their guttural growls echoing off the walls, a chilling reminder of the danger we're in.
As Varikka squeezes through the opening, I turn to Seraphine, my eyes wide with urgency. "Go!" I yell, giving her a shove towards the narrow gap. She stumbles forward, her body barely fitting through the opening.
I follow close behind, my heart in my throat as I feel the creatures' claws scraping against my back. I squeeze through the opening just as a set of jaws snaps at my heels, missing me by inches.
As I emerge on the other side, I take a deep breath, my chest heaving with exertion. Varikka and Seraphine are there, their faces etched with fear and exhaustion. We're not out of danger yet, but for now, we've bought ourselves some time.
I look around, taking in our new surroundings. We're in a small chamber, the walls lined with ancient symbols and carvings. The air is thick with the scent of decay and the sound of rushing water, but it's a welcome respite from the creatures that pursued us.
I turn to Varikka and Seraphine, my expression grim. "We need to keep moving," I say, my voice barely audible over the din of the collapsing tower. "There's no telling what else is lurking in these tunnels, but we can't stay here."
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever comes next. With Varikka and Seraphine by my side, I move forward into the darkness, ready to face whatever dangers await us in this underwater tomb.
