As Merrin urges Varikka and Seraphine to hurry into the secret passage, the tentacled horror lunges forward, its massive body breaching the surface mere feet behind. The water churns around them, swirling around their knees with a vengeance. With the creature closing in, Varikka's grip on Seraphine's arm falters, and she stumbles backwards, her sword slipping from her grasp. The sound of rushing water grows louder, and the passage begins to collapse behind them, rubble tumbling down the rocky walls. The creatures' bioluminescent markings illuminate the water as they close in, their hunger and rage palpable. Merrin must act quickly to find a way up the passage, or risk being trapped with the horrors below.

Merrin

Merrin · Rogue

As Varikka and Seraphine struggle to hold off the tentacled horror, I pull myself into the secret passage, my body trembling from the cold and exertion. The water churns around me, swirling around my knees with a vengeance. With the creature closing in and the water rising fast, I know we have only one option: we must move up the passage and find higher ground before it's too late!

My heart hammers against my ribs, a frantic drumbeat of fear and adrenaline. I can feel the creatures' hunger, their rage at being denied their prey. But I have no choice. I must lead the way, must find a path to safety through this labyrinthine nightmare. With a deep breath, I push forward into the darkness, my hand tightening on the hilt of my mace as I prepare to face whatever horrors lie ahead.

The sound of rushing water grows louder behind us, and I know that we are racing against time, against the creatures, and against the rising tide itself. But for now, all that matters is finding a way out - before this entire tower comes crashing down on top of us.

Seraphine

Seraphine · Wizard

I feel the cold water swirling around my legs as I stumble into the secret passage after Merrin, my breath coming in sharp gasps. The tentacled horror is close behind, its bulk blocking the entrance and trapping us in this dark, winding tunnel. Varikka's scream cuts through the air as she loses her grip on her sword, and I see it clatter to the floor, lost to the rising water.

The sound of the creatures' bioluminescent markings echoing off the wet rock is a frantic drumbeat against my eardrums. I can feel their hunger, their rage at being denied their prey. But there's no time to be afraid, no time to dwell on what might have happened if we had stayed below. Merrin's voice cuts through my thoughts, urgent and commanding as she urges us forward.

I splash through the water, my heavy robes clinging to me like a second skin. Every step is an effort, my muscles screaming from the cold and exertion. The passage begins to collapse behind us, rubble tumbling down the rocky walls, sealing off our escape route. Merrin's silhouette disappears into the darkness ahead, her form illuminated by the faint glow of the creatures below.

I know we are racing against time, against the creatures, and against the rising tide itself. But for now, all that matters is finding a way out - before this entire tower comes crashing down on top of us. With a deep breath, I push forward into the darkness, my hand tightening on the hilt of my mace as I prepare to face whatever horrors lie ahead.
