Round 75 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Serrine's eyes roll back in her head, and she whispers a single word: "Father..." The air around her begins to ripple with a faint, otherworldly energy, as if the crystal is drawing power from her very being. Varrika's grip on Serrine's wrist tightens, her knuckles white with concern. Merrin's face sets in a grim determination, her eyes fixed intently on the crystal. "We need to get her out of here," she says, her voice low and urgent. "This place is getting worse by the minute." The runes on the walls pulse faster, their light blinding in its intensity, as if responding to Merrin's words. Suddenly, a section of the floor gives way beneath the trio, sending them tumbling towards the pit below.
I feel a rush of adrenaline as we tumble towards the pit, my heart pounding in my chest. I grab for Serrine's arm, my fingers digging into her flesh as I try to pull her back from the edge. "Varrika!" I shout over the din, my voice strained with effort. "Help me get her out of here!"
But even as we struggle, I can feel the energy in the air growing stronger, the runes on the walls pulsing faster and faster. The crystal at the bottom of the pit pulses with an otherworldly light, its power growing stronger by the second. Serrine's eyes roll back in her head, and she whispers a single word: "Father..."
I feel a wave of unease wash over me as I realize that whatever this place is, whatever that crystal is... it's not safe here. The air seems to vibrate with magical energy, making it difficult for me to focus. Suddenly, a faint whisper echoes through the passageway, "You will never leave this place...". The low chuckle from the shadows grows louder, and the runes pulse with an otherworldly power. I tighten my grip on Serrine's arm, my muscles burning with exertion as I pull with all my might. Varrika works alongside me, her face set in a grim determination. "Serrine!" she shouts, her voice strained with concern. "Can you hear me? We're trying to get you out of here!"
But even as we work to free Serrine from the pit, I can feel the danger growing by the second. This place... it's not right. And whatever that crystal is, whatever power it holds... we need to be careful. Let's move out. Stay sharp and watch each other's backs. And whatever happens, we get Serrine out of this place alive. That's a promise.
I feel a surge of panic as Serrine falls into the pit, her scream echoing off the ancient walls. Merrin and I lunge forward, grabbing for her arms, our fingers digging into her flesh as we strain to pull her up from the depths. The crystal at the bottom of the pit pulses with an otherworldly light, its power growing stronger by the second. Serrine's eyes roll back in her head, and she whispers a single word: "Father..." The air around her begins to ripple with a faint, otherworldly energy, as if the crystal is drawing power from her very being. "Serrine!" I shout over the din, my voice strained with effort. "We've got you! Just hold on!"
But even as we struggle to free Serrine from the pit, I can feel the energy in the air growing stronger, the runes on the walls pulsing faster and faster. The floor beneath us trembles, and I feel a wave of fear wash over me as I realize that whatever this place is, whatever that crystal is... it's not safe here. "Merrin!" I cry out, my voice tight with urgency. "We need to get Serrine out of here, now! This place is getting worse by the minute!"
I feel a surge of determination as I pull harder on Serrine's arm, my muscles burning with exertion. The crystal pulses with an otherworldly light, its power growing stronger by the second. I can see the fear in Serrine's eyes, the desperation in her voice as she whispers that single word: "Father..."
But even as we struggle to free Serrine from the pit, I know that we can't afford to let our guard down, not even for a second. This place... it's not right. And whatever that crystal is, whatever power it holds... we need to be careful. Let's move out. Stay sharp and watch each other's backs. And whatever happens, we get Serrine out of this place alive. That's a promise.
