Merrin
Rogue
Merrin Quickstep is a wiry halfling scout and lockbreaker whose keen eyes and nimble hands are well-suited to navigating dark and dangerous places. She speaks quickly and lightly, masking nervousness with gallows humor as she looks for traps, exits, hidden motives, and profitable opportunities. Though observant and clever, Merrin is no cold-hearted mercenary - beneath her bravado lies a capacity for real concern, even if she's not always eager to show it.
In Merrin's own words
I'm Merrin Quickstep, halfling scout extraordinaire at your service! Well, 'extraordinaire' might be pushing it a bit. Let's just say I've got an eye for the cracks in the world that other folks tend to miss - and more importantly, I know how to wriggle through them when I spot 'em. It's not always pretty work, picking locks and disarming traps while the rest of the crew stands around wringing their hands about ancient curses or whatever, but somebody's gotta do it! And hey, if there's a bit o' treasure at the end to line my pockets... well, that's just an added bonus. I'm not heartless, mind - just clever enough to keep one eye on the main chance while still keeping my friends safe and sound. After all, in a world as dark as this one, you've got to look out for your own.
