As Varrika starts pushing aside the rubble, I notice a faint hum of magic emanating from beneath the stones. Seraphine's eyes light up with interest as she focuses her senses on the energy, while Merrin keeps watch, her mace at the ready. The air is thick with tension as we work to clear a path. Suddenly, a piece of stone clatters to the ground, and I hear the faint sound of scuttling legs beneath the rubble. Varrika's head snaps up, her sword poised, as she whispers, "What was that?" The hum of magic grows louder, and I realize that we're not alone in the rubble. A small, twisted creature begins to emerge from the darkness, its eyes fixed on us with an unnatural hunger. We have a decision to make: do we try to engage the creature, or retreat and find another way out?

Merrin

Merrin · Rogue

I freeze as the creature emerges from the rubble, my heart hammering against my ribs. It's small, but there's an unnatural hunger in its eyes that makes me want to back away slowly.

I glance at Varrika and Seraphine, my voice a hushed whisper. "We need to get out of here. Now." I keep my eyes fixed on the creature, my hand tight on my mace. "Varrika, can you clear a path quickly? Seraphine, any ideas on how to stop that thing if it comes after us?"

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what we're about to do. The tower could collapse at any moment, and now there's a creature stalking us in the shadows. "If we can't find another way out... we might have to fight our way through." My voice is grim, but there's a hint of determination in it. "But let's try to avoid that if we can. We're already exhausted, and I don't know what other horrors this place might hold."

I take a step back from the rubble, my eyes darting between the creature and the open door. "Varrika, you take point. Seraphine, you watch our backs. And I'll keep an eye on that thing." I nod at them both, my expression serious but focused. "Let's move. Slowly, quietly... but fast. We can't afford to get trapped in here."

I take another deep breath, then start to edge away from the rubble, my mace held ready at my side. The creature's eyes follow us, and I can feel the tension in the air as we prepare to make our escape. "Whatever happens... we stick together. We'll find a way out of this place, together."

Seraphine

Seraphine · Wizard

I watch the creature emerge from the rubble, my heart hammering against my ribs. Its eyes fix on us with an unnatural hunger, and I feel a chill run down my spine. This is exactly what I was afraid of—an unknown threat in an already dangerous place.
"I agree," I say quickly, my voice low and urgent as I turn to Merrin and Varrika. "We need to get out of here before it can attack."
I take a step back from the rubble, my hands already moving in the air as I begin to weave a simple warding spell. It's not much, but it might be enough to slow the creature down if it comes after us.
My eyes dart towards the open door of the hidden corridor, then back to the rubble where the creature is now fully emerged. "Varrika, can you clear a path quickly? We need an exit now."
I look at Seraphine, my expression serious but determined. "Seraphine, any ideas on how to stop that thing if it comes after us?" I keep my tone calm, trying to sound more confident than I feel.

I take a final step back from the rubble, my eyes fixed on the creature as it begins to scuttle towards us. "Varrika, you take point. Seraphine, you watch our backs. And I'll keep an eye on that thing." I nod at them both, my expression serious but focused.
