Seraphine steadied herself against the cavern wall, her staff still held at the ready even as she fought to control her breathing. I'm... yes, I'm fine. Just... unsettled by that thing in the pool. It felt like it was trying to reach into my mind. She glanced nervously at the dark water's surface before refocusing on Jeane. You're right, of course. We need to move quickly. Those rocks won't hold forever, and I'd rather not be turned into paste by a cave-in while dealing with whatever this place's master is throwing at us.

She moved closer to Jeane, her free hand gripping the succubus woman's arm gratefully. Thank you for having my back. I... I'm not used to relying on physical protection in a magical confrontation. A wry smile tugged at her lips despite the situation. Perhaps Varrika was right about me needing more field experience after all.

Seraphine's keen eyes scanned the cavern, taking in every detail with the practiced gaze of a scholar who'd spent years deciphering ancient texts and arcane artifacts. There has to be a way through this chamber without confronting that... entity directly. The magic here is too potent for it to be a simple guardian—this feels like the heart of something much larger. She tapped her staff thoughtfully against the stone floor. We need to find the mechanism, not force a confrontation we're ill-equipped to handle.

Her gaze settled on a section of the cavern wall near the pool, where the stone seemed slightly smoother and less weathered than the surrounding rock. There. The workmanship is too precise to be natural formation. It might be another hidden passage or... She trailed off, her expression shifting as she considered the possibilities—and the dangers they might lead to.

Seraphine turned back to Jeane, her voice low but determined. We need to investigate that section of wall. But first, we should prepare for the worst. If those rocks decide to fall while we're examining the wall, we'll need a quick escape route. She gestured toward a narrow gap in the cavern's far side. That passage looks unstable, but it might be our best option if things go sideways.

She met Jeane's eyes, a silent question hanging between them—were they truly prepared to face whatever lay beyond that wall, knowing full well that doing so might lead them deeper into the heart of this cursed labyrinth?
