Phase: converging

As Silra stood guard in the doorway, her silver-blonde hair catching the flickering torchlight, Sister Hale's eyes darted between the approaching city guards and Jeane, who had slipped deeper into the church. The air inside was heavy with the scent of age and decay, the weight of centuries past bearing down upon them like a physical force. Renn's words still lingered in their minds, his fear-mongering about the "Devouring" tunnels echoing through their thoughts like a warning.
Jeane moved with an unnerving silence, her crimson eyes scanning the darkness within the church as if searching for hidden secrets. Her lips curled into a predatory smile as she mused aloud about the possibilities of the shifting tunnels, and Silra's gaze narrowed in response, wary of Jeane's intentions. The approaching guards drew closer, their torches casting long shadows across the ruined streets of Gravehill, and Sister Hale stepped back from the doorway, her hand instinctively reaching for the silver holy symbol at her neck.
As the city guard pushed forward, their faces twisted with suspicion, Silra stood firm, her hand on the cold stone frame of the doorway. The storm outside seemed to grow more intense, the darkness thickening like a living thing that threatened to consume them all. And yet, Jeane pressed on, her shadow magic pooling at her feet like a dark promise of power, drawing them deeper into the heart of the ruined church.
