Sister Hale's eyes widen in alarm, and she takes another step toward the opening, her makeshift club at the ready. The scuttling noise intensifies beneath them, as if in response to their planning. Gravedigger Renn's frantic warnings about 'the tunnels' and 'danger below' echo through the ruins once more, growing louder with each passing moment.

Jeane meets Silra's teal gaze with crimson intensity, her fingers tracing the unholy symbol at her throat absently as she thinks aloud. "Renn mentioned tunnels, plural," she says, her voice steady despite the rising unease. "Whatever's down there knows this infrastructure better than we do and has engineered a specific weak point for us to fall through." She steps closer to the opening, arcane energy pooling at her fingertips in readiness. The rasping voice from nearby rubble seems to grow louder, its warning echoing in her mind: "Turn back...while you still can..."
