Phase: converging · forced · organic escalating

As Sister Hale reached the ground beside Silra, she noticed a faint symbol etched into the wall, partially hidden by the mist. It was a crude drawing of a serpent coiled around a staff, pulsing with a soft blue glow. The symbol seemed to be reacting to their presence, and Hale could feel a gentle hum emanating from it. She reached out a hand, her fingers tracing the etching as she examined it more closely.
Silra took another step forward, her eyes fixed on the wall ahead. The mist was beginning to clear in small patches, revealing a narrow corridor stretching into darkness. "This isn't history moving," Silra said, her voice low and urgent. "This is something alive down here, using the city as a piñata." She paused, her gaze darting back to Hale. "We need to be careful. This symbol—"
Sister Hale's symbol on her palm pulsed in slow rhythm as she lowered herself across, the rope cutting into her palms. "Maybe we should start a historical tour group instead of nearly falling down this hole," she muttered, her voice barely audible over the sound of the mist.
The air was heavy with tension as they moved forward, the only sound the soft hum of the symbol and the creaking of the old wooden beams beneath their feet. The narrow corridor stretched out before them, a labyrinthine path into the unknown depths of Gravehill's ruins.
