Round 19

Phase: escalating

Silra stood by the wardstone, her expression grim as she watched it pulse with increasing urgency. Each beat sent a tremor through the building, the old wood groaning under the strain like an ancient ship protesting the sea's embrace. Jeane drifted closer, her wings half-spread for balance or perhaps instinctive preparation—it was hard to tell which in a succubus whose natural state seemed designed for chaos.
"What exactly are you proposing?" Jeane asked, her voice low enough that Hera couldn't hear across the room. But the building's next groan made it clear that subtlety wasn't going to work much longer. Silra met her gaze with an expression that said they were out of options and into consequences.
"We need energy flow," Silra said flatly. "The wardstone's designed to draw sexual energy from this space—it's a relief valve for the building's own... tension." She pulled out one of the sleek toys, holding it up between them. "We transfer through these. No direct contact with the stone itself."
Jeane's eyes lit up despite the gravity of the situation. Or perhaps because of it—the thrill of danger mixed with arousal in her expression was unmistakable. "Brilliant!" she exclaimed, grabbing another toy and holding it out to Hera. "Come on, darling—think of it as team building exercise."
Hera stared at the offered toy like it might bite her. "You want us to—" she began, but the building's groan cut her off mid-sentence. The wardstone pulsed again, its rhythm erratic and demanding. Silra bit back a growl but nodded.
"We start now," she said firmly. "Jeane's right—this is our best option." She activated her toy and held it out to Hera. "Time's up."
The building creaked ominously around them, the old wood straining against forces it wasn't designed to contain. Somewhere far below, glass shattered—a window frame giving way under pressure. The wardstone pulsed again, louder this time.
"Wait," Hera said, her voice shaking. "There has to be another way—something that doesn't involve all of us... doing that." Her eyes darted between Silra and Jeane, wide with fear and something else she was still trying to name.
Silra's expression softened fractionally, though the urgency didn't leave her eyes. "I understand," she said more quietly. "But the wardstone doesn't care about our comfort or your... inexperience." She glanced at the ceiling, where a faint crack had appeared along one beam. "It wants energy now, or this building comes down around us."
Jeane moved to stand beside her, their shoulders touching in silent solidarity. "We can start slow," she offered to Hera. "Just... something small. Anything to get the flow moving." Her eyes gleamed with a mix of concern and barely contained excitement.
The wardstone pulsed again, sending another tremor through the floor. Dust sifted down from the cracks in the ceiling. They were running out of time—and options.
"Fine," Hera said finally, her voice tight. "But tell me exactly what to do." She took a step forward, hands clenched into fists at her sides. "And if this doesn't work, we find another way—even if it means leaving."
Silra nodded once, sharp and decisive. "Deal. We'll try this first." She moved closer to Hera, holding out the toy again. "Just hold this against your thigh—anywhere you feel comfortable. The vibrations will help transfer energy into the stone without direct contact."
Jeane watched with barely contained eagerness as Hera took the toy, her fingers brushing Silra's. The building groaned again, lower now but somehow more menacing—a sound like old bones shifting under strain.
"Good," Silra said softly. "Now just... feel it. Let yourself respond naturally." She glanced at Jeane. "Both of you."
Jeane needed no further invitation. She pressed her own toy against her inner thigh, letting out a soft gasp as the vibrations traveled through her skin. The wardstone pulsed in response—slower now, more measured.
"See?" Jeane purred to Hera. "It's working already." Her free hand found Silra's waist, pulling her closer until their bodies touched side by side. The heat between them was palpable, feeding the energy that flowed through the toys and into the stone.
Hera hesitated for a moment longer, then pressed the toy against her own thigh with a sharp intake of breath. The building creaked in response—louder this time, the sound of old wood straining at its limits.
"Fuck," Silra muttered under her breath. "That's... not enough." Her eyes locked on the wardstone as it pulsed again, demanding more. She glanced around the room, spotting the discarded bondage gear from their earlier exploration. A dangerous idea formed in her mind, but the alternative was collapse.
"Jeane," she said, voice low and urgent. "We need more... direct contact. The stone's not satisfied with just vibrations." Her eyes darted to Hera. "And we need to move this somewhere more... structurally sound."
Jeane's grin widened. "Oh yes," she breathed. "Much more interesting than just standing around pressing buttons." She grabbed Hera's hand without waiting for agreement, tugging her toward the bedroom where the floor seemed steadier.
"Wait—" Hera began, but Silra was already moving to follow, her mind racing with calculations of structural integrity and escalating energy requirements. The wardstone pulsed again, louder now—a demand that couldn't be ignored much longer.
They were out of time—and out of options. The building groaned its agreement as they stumbled into the bedroom, the toys still buzzing against their skin.
