Round 15 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

At The base of a crumbling stone tower, the shared situation sharpens into an immediate decision point. What is already in motion no longer supports waiting or circling. The next concrete move will determine how this scene changes.
The air feels electric, charged with an ancient, malevolent energy. I can practically see the wards rippling around us, their hunger palpable. We need more information before we risk setting foot inside that accursed tower. Jeane, your keen sorcerous senses are our best bet here. Can you fly higher, get a bird's eye view of those upper levels? I'll work with Halie to map out the perimeter, see if we can't trace the pattern of the wards. And Seraphine, I appreciate your eagerness, but let's not rush in blindly. Whatever is feeding these wards... it's not something we want to surprise. Better to be prepared than sorry. I'll start gathering my tools - lockpicks, crowbar, the works. But for now, we observe and plan. The tower has been here untold years; it can wait a while longer as we ready our move.
Varrika hefts her heavy mace, feeling its solid weight in her scarred hands. The tower looms before them, an ancient stone behemoth bristling with runes that seem to crawl like insects in the dim light. "These wards... they're not right," she grunts, squinting at the pulsing symbols etched into the crumbling masonry. "Feels like they're just waiting to bite."
She turns to face the others, her weathered face set in grim lines. "We can't go charging in blind. Need to find an entry that won't trip their alarms."
I'll cast the wider detection spell Seraphine mentioned—it needs about five minutes of quiet focus though. Meanwhile, Merrin and Varrika can start mapping the perimeter carefully. No heroics yet. We need to understand what we're up against before charging in.
