The DM nods thoughtfully, their expression serious. "Very well, then. It seems we have a clear divide in opinions. Halie, I understand your concerns, but the fate of our world may depend on this artifact being in the right hands. If you're not willing to participate, I'm afraid that means you'll need to leave the party."

The DM turns to the others, their gaze sweeping across the room. "Jeane, Merrin, Seraphine, and Varrika, your commitment is clear. With Halie's withdrawal, we now have a party of four. Let us finalize our plan of action before we proceed."

The DM leans forward, elbows on the table, eyes locked on each member. "Our first order of business will be to divide into two groups. Jeane, you'll lead the bypassing group, using your magical abilities to navigate the ancient runes and magical wards. Merrin, Seraphine, and Varrika will prepare for a more direct approach, using your unique skills to overcome any obstacles that lie ahead."

The DM pauses, letting the weight of their decision settle on the group. "Once inside the tower, we'll meet at the designated convergence point to regroup and reassess our situation. If things go as planned, we'll have the Time-Splitting Sword in hand and can begin our journey back to civilization. But if... things don't go as planned, we'll need to be prepared to adapt and overcome."

The DM leans back, hands clasped together behind their head, a hint of a smile on their face. "I believe that with this plan in place, we have a good chance of success. Let us make our way to the tower, ready to face whatever dangers lie ahead."

The candlelit room falls silent as the party members consider the DM's words, each lost in their own thoughts and preparations for the journey ahead.
