Jeane steps back from the gate, her crimson eyes narrowed in concentration as she studies the ominous runes etched into the ancient stone. The air crackles with an unsettling energy, and she can feel the dark magic pulsing from within the barrier field. This isn't good. Whatever this tower once was, it's certainly not holy ground now. She mutters, more to herself than anyone else.

Suddenly, one of the skeletal guardians stirs, its bony hand grasping for Elric with a rattling sound. He leaps back instinctively, his eyes wide with alarm. Careful! These things are still dangerous, even if they're just bones.

Halie grabs Merrin by her shoulders, yanking her back from the gate with surprising strength. The hell is this field? She snarls, her blue-grey eyes flashing with anger and concern as she glares at Elric. You said this place was abandoned! That we'd find the sword easily!

Merrin grits her teeth against the searing pain radiating from her leg. The dark energy pulses, drawing her towards the gate like an irresistible pull. She can feel it threatening to consume her, to drag her into whatever twisted reality lies beyond. Elric, you old goat, start talking! What is this place? How do we stop this thing before it's too late?

Seraphine steps forward, her sharp eyes fixed on the barrier field as she traces the intricate patterns of the runes with a practiced gaze. The air crackles with an unsettling energy, and she can feel the dark magic pulsing from within the stone. The runes... they're reacting to Merrin's presence. To her wound. She murmurs, more to herself than anyone else, her voice tight with worry. This isn't just a physical barrier—it's alive in some way. Whatever this tower once was, it's clearly not meant to be disturbed lightly.

Jeane nods slowly, her mind racing as she tries to piece together the implications of Seraphine's words. A living barrier? That complicates things significantly. She turns to face Elric, her expression stern and demanding. You need to tell us everything you know about this place. Now. Before someone else gets hurt—or worse.*

The air grows heavy with tension as the group waits for Elric's response, the ominous pulsing of the barrier field a constant reminder of the dangers that lurk within the tower's depths. The skeletal guardians stand motionless once more, but their presence is a chilling reminder of the dark magic that infuses this ancient place.
