Phase: converging

Seraphine moves closer to the wall, her sharp eyes tracing the intricate patterns of the ancient runes. The magic here is... wrong. These sigils aren't meant to guide or protect—they're designed to bind and corrupt. She presses a hand against the cold stone, her fingers tracing the outline of a particularly complex symbol. There's something beneath this section, I'm certain of it. But whether it's a hidden passage or a trap... that's less clear.
Merrin pauses in her efforts to free Halie, looking up at Seraphine with concern evident in her expression. A hidden passage could be useful, but if it's a trap...
Jeane steps forward, her crimson eyes gleaming with an unmistakable hunger for knowledge despite the obvious danger. Every path has its risks. But this... She gestures to the pulsing runes. This is beyond anything I've encountered before. We need to understand what we're dealing with if we hope to survive whatever lies ahead.
The air grows colder, and the whispers that had been growing fainter seem to intensify once more, swirling around the group like an unseen presence.
