Round 41 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

The tension in The base of a crumbling stone tower tightens for a beat as the interruption refuses to go away. Everyone is forced to stay quiet and choose their next move carefully.
I eye the crumbling stone tower warily, the weight of my mace heavy in my grip. The air feels thick with dread, and an unnatural energy seems to pulse through the very stones themselves. I can practically hear Halie's warning about the dangers within. My gaze darts to Jeane. She's our best hope for navigating this cursed place, but the strain is clearly taking its toll. I give a curt nod. "Lead on then. But keep your wits sharp. This tower's got a taste of something foul."
I step forward, mace at the ready, and enter the tower. The shadows seem to deepen as we move into the interior, and an icy chill runs down my spine. I can't shake the feeling that we're being watched by unseen eyes. But there's no going back now. We've come too far to turn tail. I take a deep breath and follow Merrin into the unknown, my senses on high alert for any sign of danger. The Time-Splitting Sword awaits, and with it, the chance to put an end to this darkness once and for all. But gods help us if we're not ready for what lies ahead.
I can feel it too—this place is wrong, like reality itself is bruised. The air smells of decaying flowers and something else... dark magic. Those sigils in the stone are pulsing with a malevolent energy. We need to find Elric again, he must know what's happening here. The corridor we just entered feels heavy, oppressive. I don't like it. Let's backtrack and look for another way up—this one gives me a bad feeling. Halie, your senses are sharper than ours when it comes to spiritual corruption. What do you think? If this is indeed the work of demons, my spells might be our best defense... or they might draw their attention. We need more information before I start throwing magic around. [Jeane's Thoughts]
This place is far worse than I anticipated. The corruption runs deep—through the stones themselves. Those sigils are demonic in nature, I'm sure of it. If we proceed blindly, we could stumble into a trap or awaken something ancient and terrible. But we can't turn back now—not when Merrin has already entered. We must move forward carefully, avoiding this cursed corridor with the pulsing sigils. My magic could potentially cleanse such taint... but it might also strengthen whatever lies dormant here. Halie's judgment on spiritual dangers is more trustworthy than any tome I've read. She can sense what my eyes cannot—perhaps she'll see a safer path through this blighted place.
I step forward cautiously, my mace gripped tightly in my hand, as I enter the tower. The air feels wrong, charged with an unsettling energy. The crumbling stone seems to pulse with an ominous rhythm. "Alright, let's see if this key works," I mutter, fishing it out of my pocket and inserting it into the lock on the tower door.
