The air inside the corridor was wrong—thick and heavy, cloying with an ancient malice that chilled them to the bone. The walls bled dark energy in pulsing symbols that seemed to writhe and twist before their eyes. Jeane approached cautiously, her crimson eyes narrowed as she studied the demonic sigils etched into the stone. This wasn't mere undead corruption; this was something far worse.

"Easy on the trigger finger, Merrin," she warned softly. "Halie's right—the magic here is old and hungry. We're dealing with forces that don't play nice." She signaled Seraphine to stand ready with her spellbook, just in case.

Halie felt a deep unease settle over her. The corruption wasn't natural—it was purposeful, deliberate. Something had bled into this stone long ago and left its mark. "We need to be careful here," she said, her voice tight. "This kind of magic... it's not something we can just fight our way through."

Seraphine, her sharp elven eyes tracing the intricate patterns of dark energy flowing through the walls, spoke up. "These symbols serve as conduits for something far worse than undead horrors," she said grimly. "We should proceed with extreme caution... or perhaps find an alternative route entirely." The very air seemed to press in around them, heavy with warning.

The corridor yawned darkly ahead, a throat lined with symbols that pulsed like diseased veins in the gloom. They stood at the threshold of something ancient and malevolent—something that had bled its corruption into the very stone itself.
