Round 9

As Halie's hands delicately scraped away a layer of stone dust from the shadow glyph, her voice remained steady and focused. "Seraphine, can you use your arcane sight to examine this shadow rune more closely? There may be nuances we're missing." Seraphine's eyes narrowed as she examined the intricate symbol, her fingers tracing the lines with a delicate touch. Jeane stepped forward, her demonic wings rustling softly as she surveyed the area. The dormant ward hummed louder, its resonant energy coursing through the air.

The cold draft swept across the stone floor, but the gate remained sealed, its ancient magic refusing to yield to the team's efforts. Halie's gaze flicked between the shadow rune and the intricate pattern of runes on the gate, her mind racing with possibilities. Seraphine's quill scratched out notes in her leather-bound notebook, capturing the essence of their discovery. The partial success was noted, and the dormant ward now reacted to the new glyph, its hum deepening as it sensed the team's progress.
