Round 2

[Narrator | Narrator]
The candles gutter in the cracked stone room, and the chill draft from the ruined chapel’s windows whispers of the storm beyond. The parchment blessing lies open on the table, its seal still warm. The Time‑Splitting Sword is the only thing that can stop the darkness that has already seeped into the village. If the party fails, the tower’s undead guardians will claim them and the village will be left to rot; if they succeed, the sword will be theirs to bring back before nightfall and the storm closes in. The contract is clear: retrieve the blade and return it, or leave empty‑handed and let the tower take what it wants. Halie, Merrin, Seraphine, Varrika, and Jeane have all voiced doubts and cautions; each must now state whether they will follow this plan, refuse to enter, or set a condition that must be met before they commit.

[Jeane | Sorcerer]
Jeane Cromwell's voice cuts through the gloom with a cool precision. I have no intention of walking into that death trap blind. Before we even consider stepping foot near that tower, Elric must provide every scrap of knowledge he possesses—under my binding oath compulsion if necessary. His eyes hold centuries of secrets; I will extract them all.

[Halie | Cleric]
I’ll go, but not without assurances. We need to know exactly what kind of undead we’re facing—skeletons are bad enough, but if there’s a chance of animated corpses or something worse, I need the right blessings and protective wards before we set foot near that place. My job is to keep people alive; I can’t do that without the proper spiritual defenses in place.

[Merrin | Rogue]
I'll come along, but I make no promises of heroics. If things get too hot in there, I'm not sticking around to be some undead's next snack. We get in, grab that blade, and get out—fast. And someone better watch my back; a rogue is no good to anyone if she ends up as skeletons' dinner.

[Seraphine | Wizard]
I rise from my seat, the worn wood creaking beneath me, and place a hand on the map, tracing the outline of the tower with a trembling finger.
"I will go, yes, but not without safeguards. We must first seek out every piece of knowledge available – from Elric, from dusty tomes in hidden libraries, from anyone who has even glimpsed that accursed place. I will spend the rest of the day poring over our resources, learning all I can about the nature of its guardians and the magic that animates them."
My eyes meet Jeane's, a silent understanding passing between us. "If we are to survive this, we must be prepared on every front – magical, physical, and spiritual. Only then will I consider entering those halls of death and darkness."

[Varrika | Fighter]
I'll go in, but I'm not leading this charge. We need a solid plan and heavy backup if we're to stand a chance against whatever horrors that tower holds. I'll fight, but I won't be the first one through the door or the last one out. And someone better have a damn good strategy for dealing with those skeletons, because I've seen what happens when they swarm a party unprepared. This is no suicide mission; we go in smart or not at all.
