Round 2 Transcript

Episode 1 · Episode Round 2

N

Narrator · Narrator

The Narrator restates the undertaking plainly, fixes the stakes in the room, and presses the cast to make their positions clear before the meeting can end.

J

Jeane · Sorcerer

Jeane Cromwell taps a clawed finger against the table's edge with deliberate rhythm. I will not walk blindly into that tower. If there is no accurate map of its interior layers, if we have no eyewitness accounts of these guardians beyond tavern gossip, and if our numbers include those who cannot defend themselves against walking skeletons or worse—then my participation ends before it begins.

H

Halie · Cleric

I will not be dragged into a suicidal run based on hope and rumors. I need concrete intel, genuine assessments of our capabilities against the threats, and assurances that no one is signing us up for a meat grinder just to fail spectacularly.

M

Merrin · Rogue

I'll participate, but under two conditions: First, I need a thorough scouting run through the perimeter before we attempt entry. I want to know every weakness in those walls, every potential point of ingress. Second, I won't be the only one breaking locks and disarming traps in there. We need a team effort to have any chance at success. If we can meet these terms, then I'm in. But I won't be a lone wolf on this one—we'll sink or swim together.

S

Seraphine · Wizard

I push my chair back from the heavy wooden table, the sound scraping against the stone floor like a harsh whisper of foreboding.
The Whispering Woods have always been a place of dark rumors and greater dangers than most dare imagine. To think that something as potent as the Time-Splitting Sword lies at the heart of it... it's both terrifying and thrilling.
I take a slow breath, considering the risks and rewards. My gaze drifts to the heavy, rune-carved door at the end of the room, an ominous presence even sealed shut. But I also believe that knowledge, properly applied, can be a powerful weapon in itself.
I turn back to the group, my expression serious. I agree with Jeane - we need more than mere tales to base our strategy on. If we are to attempt such a feat, we must have a thorough understanding of what we face within those walls. My eyes meet those of each of my companions in turn, gauging their resolve. However, I am willing to participate on two conditions: first, I insist on studying the layout of the tower's known lower levels from every source available before we enter, and secondly, I require a team that is committed to preserving our collective knowledge and magical resources. This is not just about combat; it's about surviving an environment steeped in dark magic.
I place my hands flat on the table, leaning forward slightly.

V

Varrika · Fighter

I take a long swig from my mug, setting it down with a heavy thunk on the rough-hewn table. Alright, let's get this straight - we're walking into a tower filled with undead horrors and dark sorcerers, all to retrieve some legendary sword. Sounds like a recipe for an early grave if you ask me.
