Shadow of the Ancients / Run 008 / Setup
Seraphine
Wizard
Seraphine Vale, a sharp-eyed female elf scholar of forbidden histories, stands before the intricate rune-etched gate with her companions. Her keen analytical mind recognizes both its magical complexity and potential danger. She suggests an approach that leverages the old magic itself rather than brute force, revealing her curiosity about ancient power systems while also hinting at a quiet fear of their cost.
In Seraphine's own words
My fingers trace the cold silver runes on my staff as I watch Halie examine the gate's surface with such intense focus. The air hums with an energy that feels both inviting and profoundly threatening, like a library filled with books written in blood by mad kings. This is why we came - to unravel mysteries others have deemed too dangerous or unworthy of study. But even now, standing at its threshold, I feel the first tendrils of doubt coiling around my heart like a serpent. How much will this knowledge cost us? And how far are we willing to go to claim it?
