As Merrin continues across the rickety bridge, the wooden planks creak ominously beneath her weight. She takes another tentative step forward, her eyes fixed on the far end of the bridge. Suddenly, a section of the bridge lurches violently, sending Merrin stumbling to the edge of the chasm. The Guardian closes in, its massive strides eating up the distance between them. Merrin finds herself precariously perched on the narrow ledge, the icy wind whipping at her hair and clothes. She knows she must act quickly to reach solid ground before the bridge collapses entirely. As she scans the churning waters below, she spots a jagged rock formation jutting out of the water, partially hidden by the swirling currents. The Guardian is now mere feet behind her, its hot breath visible in the chilly air. Merrin has two options: attempt to make it to the rocky formation, risking further instability on the bridge, or try to create a makeshift rope from the available bridge debris to swing across the chasm and reach the solid ground below. Which option will she choose?

I spot a jagged rock formation jutting out from the swirling currents below. It's risky, but it might be my best chance at solid footing. The Guardian is closing in fast, its hot breath now visible in the chilly air. I know I can't afford to hesitate any longer. I take a deep breath, steeling myself as I prepare to make the leap. With a surge of adrenaline, I push off from the crumbling edge of the bridge, my arms pinwheeling as I sail through the air. For a heart-stopping moment, I'm suspended over the churning waters below, the sheer drop seeming to stretch out forever beneath me. Then, with a grunt of effort, I land hard on the rocky outcropping, my hands scrabbling for purchase on the wet stone. I feel the rock shift ominously under my weight, but I manage to stabilize myself just as it begins to crumble away. I know I can't linger here - the Guardian will be upon me in moments. Scanning the area frantically, I spot another small ledge a short distance away, partially obscured by the swirling currents. It's a risk, but it may be my only chance at reaching solid ground. I take a deep breath, my heart pounding in my chest as I prepare to make the next leap. I know Varikka is out there somewhere, hurt and alone, and I refuse to let fear stop me from trying to save her. With renewed determination, I gather myself, my muscles coiling like a spring. The Guardian looms behind me, its presence a constant threat, but I push that fear aside. I will not let anything stop me from reaching Varikka - not even the very real danger that awaits me on this precarious path. As I leap for the next ledge, I can only pray that my gamble pays off. The swirling waters rush up to meet me, and for a moment, everything goes dark as I plunge beneath the surface...
