As I position myself between the Time-Splitting Sword and the Guardian, the creature lunges forward, its claws outstretched. I dodge to the side, avoiding its deadly strike by mere inches. Varikka takes advantage of the distraction to reach for the sword, but her injured ankle gives out beneath her, sending her crashing to the ground. The Guardian seizes the opportunity, its jaws wide open as it prepares to devour Varikka whole. I raise my dagger, ready to defend her, but the sword lies just out of reach, tantalizingly close to the Guardian's outstretched claws. The mysterious voice whispers again, "You should not have come here," its words dripping with malevolent intent. I must act quickly to save Varikka, but how?
