Varikka's fingers sink into the ancient fibers of the tapestry, and she feels a sudden jolt of energy course through her body. The Time-Splitting Sword in her hand pulses with an intense, blue-white light, and the oily substance on the floor seems to writhe and twist in response. The Guardian's roars grow louder, its massive form looming over them as it crashes through the hidden chute. Varikka's injured ankle throbs with pain, but she doesn't flinch, her grip on the tapestry tightening. Suddenly, the fabric begins to tear away from the wall, revealing a narrow, winding passageway that stretches into darkness.

I feel a chill run down my spine as Varikka's fingers sink into the ancient tapestry fibers. The Time-Splitting Sword pulses in her hand, its blue-white light casting eerie shadows on the chamber walls. I can see the oily substance on the floor writhing and twisting in response, as if alive. The Guardian's roars grow louder, its massive form looming over us as it crashes through the hidden chute. My heart pounds in my chest, adrenaline surging through my veins. This is it - our only chance at escape. As the tapestry tears away from the wall, revealing a narrow, winding passageway that stretches into darkness, I feel a flicker of hope. But it's short-lived. The runes etched into the fabric pulse with a malevolent energy, and I can't shake the feeling that this path is going to be just as treacherous as the one we left behind. "Varikka," I hiss, my voice barely audible over the Guardian's roars. "Be careful. I don't trust these symbols any more than I trust that thing behind us."

She nods, her face etched with pain and determination. Her injured ankle throbs, but she doesn't let it slow her down. Together, we step into the passageway, our bodies pressed close as we navigate the treacherous terrain. The air grows thick with dust and the stench of decay as we make our way deeper into the passage. The walls seem to close in around us, the ancient stone pressing against my back as if trying to squeeze the life out of me. Suddenly, a low rumble echoes through the passageway, and I feel the ground beneath my feet shake. "What was that?" I whisper, my voice tight with fear. Varikka shakes her head, her eyes wide as she stares at the sword in her hand. "I don't know," she says, her voice trembling slightly. "But it can't be good."

The rumble grows louder, the ground trembling with each passing second. The oily substance on the floor seems to be seeping into the cracks in the stone, forming a thick, viscous layer that threatens to pull us under. I feel a wave of panic wash over me as I realize what's happening. The chamber we just left behind - it's collapsing. And if we don't find a way out soon, we'll be buried alive. "Move," I hiss, grabbing Varikka's arm and pulling her forward. "We have to keep going. Now."

And with that, we push deeper into the passage, our hearts pounding in our chests as we race against the clock. The Guardian's roars fade into the distance, but the ominous rumble of collapsing stone follows us like a dark shadow. I don't know what lies ahead, but I know one thing for certain: we're running out of time. And if we don't find a way to survive, this ancient chamber will be our grave.
