Varikka's crossbow string snaps with a loud crack, the sound echoing off the chamber walls. She quickly scours the area, her eyes scanning for anything she can use as a makeshift weapon. Merrin takes advantage of the distraction to launch himself at the Guardian, the Time-Splitting Sword flashing in the dim light. The blade bites deep into the beast's flank, but it barely seems to slow its advance. As Varikka rummages through the rubble, she finds a jagged chunk of stone that looks like it could be used to deflect attacks. She lunges forward, the chunk held at the ready.

[I lunge forward, slashing at the Guardian's eye with the Time-Splitting Sword.] Varikka, take the alcove! I'll keep this thing busy! [My voice is strained as I feel the beast's claws catch on my leathers, barely missing flesh.] Hurry, before the whole place comes down! [I dodge a swipe from the Guardian, feeling the rush of air as its claws miss my face by inches.] Varikka, weapon! We need to even the odds here! [I shout, trying to make myself heard over the crumbling of the chamber walls.]

[As I parry another attack, I catch sight of Varikka in the alcove, her makeshift stone chunk deflecting a blow from the Guardian.] Nice work, Varikka! Now we just need to figure out how to take this thing down for good! [I glance around the chamber, my eyes scanning for any other potential weapons or escape routes.] Any ideas, Varikka? We can't keep dancing like this forever! [My voice is breathless as I dodge another swipe, feeling the strain in my arms and legs.]

[I grit my teeth as I feel a claw catch on my sleeve, tearing through the fabric and leaving a thin red line across my arm.] Watch it, you overgrown lizard! [I snarl at the Guardian, slashing at its leg with the Time-Splitting Sword.] We need to find a way to cripple it, make it easier to take down! [As I launch another attack, I feel the ground shift beneath my feet, a warning sign of another potential collapse.] Varikka, we need to move! This whole place is coming down around us! [I shout, my voice filled with urgency as I try to keep the Guardian at bay.]

[I glance over at Varikka, noting the strain in her eyes and the way she's favoring her injured ankle.] Varikka, can you make it out of here on your own if we can't disable this thing? [My voice is soft, barely audible over the sound of crumbling stone and the Guardian's snarls.] I don't want to leave you behind, but... [I shake my head, forcing the thought from my mind as I launch another attack at the Guardian.] No, we'll find a way out of this together. We always do. [I grin, a fierce determination in my eyes as I meet Varikka's gaze.] On three, we go for the eye again. One... two... [I tense, ready to spring into action, the Time-Splitting Sword gripped tight in my hand.] Three! [I shout, lunging forward with all the strength and skill I can muster, my entire being focused on taking down the Guardian and getting Varikka to safety.]
