"Varikka, hold on!" Elric calls out, his voice laced with urgency. "I need to get you out of here, but I'm not sure how." He carefully makes his way around the edge of the pit, his eyes scanning the jagged rocks for a handhold or a foothold.

Merrin, trapped under the river's surface, struggles frantically against the water dragging her down. Her lungs burn with the desperate need for air. She thrashes her limbs, fighting the current that threatens to sweep her away. In the darkness, a faint glow catches her eye. A strange pulsing orb floats just beneath the surface, casting an eerie light through the turbulent water.
