Round 880 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As we swim towards Elric's torch, the current threatens to sweep us under at any moment. Varikka's powerful strokes cut through the water, her face set with grim determination. I cling to her arm, my eyes fixed on the torch bobbing in the distance. Suddenly, a loud crack echoes through the tunnel, and the ground shudders violently once more. The path we were on gives way, sending us tumbling into the fast-moving river below. We're swept away by the powerful current, our bodies battered against the rocks as we desperately try to grab onto anything to keep ourselves afloat. The Guardian's roar grows louder still, its weight pressing down on the stone door behind it. Elric's torch flickers ominously, casting eerie shadows on the walls. Varikka's grip on my arm tightens, her eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of danger. "We need to find a way out of this river, now!" she growls, her voice hoarse with effort.
I gasp and sputter as I'm swept into the river, my arms flailing wildly as I struggle to keep my head above water. "Varikka!" I choke out, my voice hoarse from the strain of swimming against the current. "Elric!"
Through the haze of splashing water and churning foam, I catch a glimpse of Varikka's powerful form cutting through the waves just ahead of me. Elric's torch flickers in the distance, a beacon of hope against the darkness.
My lungs burn as I fight to stay afloat, my muscles screaming with exhaustion. The current is relentless, threatening to drag me under at any moment. I can feel the weight of the sword at my hip, a constant reminder of what we're fighting for.
Varikka's hand reaches back, grasping mine in a firm grip. "Stay with me!" she shouts over the roar of the water. "We have to keep moving!"
I nod frantically, my teeth gritted against the pain. We swim towards Elric and his torch, our only hope of finding a way out of this nightmare.
As we draw closer, I can see Elric's face set with grim determination, his eyes scanning the water for any sign of danger. "There!" he shouts, pointing towards a narrow ledge just above the surface of the river. "We need to get to that ledge!"
Varikka and I redouble our efforts, pushing against the current with every ounce of strength we have. My arms and legs ache from the strain, but I know we can't stop now – not when the Guardian is so close behind us, and not when our only chance of survival is to keep moving forward.
With a final burst of energy, Varikka hauls me up onto the ledge, her hands gripping my arms tightly as she pulls me to safety. Elric follows close behind, his torch casting a flickering light over the dark stone walls of the tunnel.
We collapse onto the ledge, our chests heaving with exertion as we struggle to catch our breath. "Is everyone alright?" Elric asks, his voice tight with concern.
