Varikka's injured ankle throbs in agony as she takes another tentative step forward. The ground beneath her feet seems to be shifting, and she stumbles, her weight threatening to send her tumbling back onto the icy water. Merrin quickly grabs her arm, steadying her with a firm grip. Elric rushes to their side, his torch casting eerie shadows on the damp stone walls as he scans the area for any sign of an alternative route. The Guardian's roar grows louder still, its ominous glow illuminating the chamber as it smashes into the stone door behind them, sending shockwaves through the ground. The floor shudders beneath their feet, and Varikka's ankle buckles again, sending her stumbling back onto the ledge with a pained grunt. "We can't keep going like this!" Elric exclaims, his voice tight with concern. "We need to find a way to get across that river without getting swept away again."

Varrika · Fighter

I grimace as I try to take another step, my injured ankle throbbing in agony. Merrin and Elric struggle to keep me upright, their faces etched with concern as they watch me fight against the pain. This isn't working, I mutter through gritted teeth, my hands clutching at their shoulders for support. We can't keep going like this. I glance around the chamber, my eyes scanning the dark shadows for any sign of an alternative route. The Guardian's ominous glow shines through the tunnel ahead, its roar echoing off the stone walls like a warning. We need to find a way across that river without getting swept away again, I say, my voice tight with determination. But I don't know if I can make it much further on this ankle. Elric nods, his face grim as he surveys the ledge we're clinging to. The ground beneath our feet seems to be shifting, and I can feel the water lapping at our boots, threatening to sweep us away at any moment. There, he says, pointing to a narrow outcropping of stone a few feet ahead. If we can just make it to that ledge, we might be able to find a way across. I take a deep breath, steeling myself against the pain as I prepare to move again. Merrin and Elric tighten their grips on my arms, their faces set with determination as they help me take another tentative step forward. Alright, I say, my voice shaking slightly as I try to keep my balance. Let's do this. Together, we make our way towards the outcropping, our hearts pounding in our chests as we fight against the current. The Guardian's roar grows louder still, its ominous glow shining through the shadows like a beacon of doom. But we press on, our eyes fixed on the narrow ledge ahead, praying that it will be enough to keep us safe from the deadly waters below.

I wince as Varikka's weight presses down on my shoulders, her injured ankle threatening to send us both tumbling into the icy waters below. Elric's face is set with grim determination as he helps support the fighter's weight, his torch casting eerie shadows on the damp stone walls. The Guardian's ominous roar echoes through the chamber, its glow shining through the darkness ahead like a beacon of doom. "Varikka, can you make it to that ledge?" I ask, my voice tight with concern as I point to the narrow outcropping of stone a few feet ahead. "If we can just get across, maybe we can find a way out of this nightmare."

I take a deep breath, steeling myself against the pain in my arms and legs as I prepare to move again. Elric nods, his grip firm on Varikka's arm as he helps steady her. "Alright, on three," he says, his voice low and reassuring. "One... two..." I tense, my muscles coiled and ready to spring into action. "Three!" Together, we take a step forward, our hearts pounding in our chests as we fight against the current. The ground beneath our feet seems to be shifting, and I can feel the water lapping at our boots, threatening to sweep us away at any moment. But we press on, our eyes fixed on the narrow ledge ahead, praying that it will be enough to keep us safe from the deadly waters below.

As we reach the outcropping, I quickly scan the area for any sign of a way across. "There!" I exclaim, pointing to a narrow crack in the stone wall a few feet away. "If we can just boost Varikka up, maybe she can use her strength to pull us up after her." Elric nods, his face grim as he helps Varikka to the edge of the ledge. "Okay, Varikka, you're up," he says, his voice tight with concern. "Think you can make it?" The fighter takes a deep breath, steeling herself against the pain as she reaches for the crack in the stone. With a grunt of effort, she hauls herself up, her muscles straining as she fights to keep her balance on the narrow ledge. Elric and I watch, our hearts pounding in our chests as we wait for her to secure her footing.

And then, with a final heave, Varikka is safely on the other side, her face flushed with exertion but triumphant. "Alright," she pants, reaching down to offer us her hand. "Let's get out of here before that thing catches up with us." I nod, my heart swelling with relief as I take her hand and let her pull me up onto the ledge beside her. Elric follows close behind, his torch casting a flickering glow on the damp stone walls as we make our way deeper into the tunnel.
