As Merrin cries out for an exit, she stumbles on the slick stone, her foot catching on a loose rock. The Guardian's unyielding gaze fixes on her, and their heavy footsteps echo off the walls as they close in. You notice that the water in the channel has churned up, revealing a large stone door partially submerged underwater, its surface etched with ancient runes. The door seems to be slightly ajar, as if pushed open by an unseen force. Suddenly, a massive chunk of rock crashes into the water just yards away from Merrin, sending her tumbling onto the narrow ledge. The Guardian's torch flickers towards the stone door, illuminating the runes in a eerie glow.

I grit my teeth against the pain in my ankle as the water surges up around me, threatening to sweep us all away. I can see Merrin struggling to keep her footing on the slick stone ledge, and I know we don't have much time before we're caught or crushed by the falling debris.

"Elric!" I call out, my voice strained with effort as I try to steady myself against the current. "Can you see that stone door over there? The one with the runes on it?"

I point towards the partially submerged door, my eyes fixed on the ancient markings etched into its surface. The water churns around us, and I can feel the Guardian's unyielding gaze fixed on our location from across the pool.

I take a tentative step forward, testing my weight on my injured ankle. The pain lances through me, but I force myself to push through it. There's no time to rest or heal, not with the Guardian still hunting us through these treacherous tunnels and the rising water threatening to sweep us away.

"Merrin!" I shout over the roar of the rushing water. "Help me get to that door! It might be our only chance to escape this damn channel before we're crushed or drowned!"

I reach out a hand towards her, my fingers digging into the damp stone as I fight to keep my balance against the surging current. The Guardian's heavy footsteps echo off the walls, growing louder by the second, and I know we have to move fast if we want to survive this.

With Merrin's help, I struggle to make my way towards the stone door, my injured ankle throbbing with every step. The water tugs at my legs, threatening to pull me under at any moment, but I refuse to give up. No matter what dangers lie ahead, no matter how much pain I'm in, I'll keep fighting until my last breath. That's the only way we're going to survive this.

"Elric," I mutter, my voice strained with effort as I lean heavily against Merrin for support. "Watch our backs and keep that torch high. We need to find a way through that door if we want to live to see another day in this hellhole."

I stagger towards Varikka, my muscles burning from the effort of fighting against the current. The water tugs at my legs, threatening to pull me under at any moment, but I refuse to let go of her hand. "Hold on!" I shout, my voice barely audible over the roar of the rushing water. I glance towards the stone door Varikka mentioned, my eyes fixed on the ancient runes etched into its surface. The water churns around us, and I can feel the Guardian's unyielding gaze fixed on our location from across the pool.

"We need to get to that door, Varikka!" I yell, struggling to keep my balance on the slick stone ledge. "It might be our only chance to escape this damn channel before we're crushed or drowned!"
