As we step off the rickety bridge, the water rushes in, swirling around our ankles. We manage to avoid being swept away, but the bridge creaks ominously behind us, threatening to collapse at any moment. I glance back to see that the wooden slats are now slick with water, making it even more precarious. "Varikka, get your footing!" I shout, grabbing her arm as she stumbles on the wet surface. Elric follows close behind, his eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of The Guardian. Suddenly, a loud rumble echoes through the chamber, and the ground begins to shake violently. The water level rises faster, threatening to engulf us. "We need to keep moving!" I yell, tugging Varikka forward. Elric nods, his face set in determination. "We can't stay here – there's another passage to the left, but it's narrow and treacherous. We'll have to navigate through it if we want to survive." He glances at me, his eyes pleading for a decision.

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what's to come. The water is rising fast, and we can't afford to hesitate. "Alright," I say, my voice firm with determination. "Let's move out. Elric, you lead the way. Varikka and I will follow behind and watch each other's backs."

We set off into the narrow passageway, our footsteps echoing off the ancient stone walls. The air is thick with moisture, and the sound of rushing water grows louder as we delve deeper into the tower's depths. Suddenly, Elric stops in his tracks, his head cocked to one side as he listens intently. "The Guardian is close," he whispers, his eyes scanning the darkness ahead. I grip my crossbow tighter, my heart pounding in my chest. We round a corner and come to a sudden halt. The passageway opens up into a large chamber, the walls slick with moisture. In the center of the room stands an altar, its surface covered in strange symbols and runes. But it's not the altar that catches our attention - it's the figure standing before it, his back turned to us. "The Guardian," Elric breathes, his voice barely above a whisper. I raise my crossbow, my finger hovering over the trigger. But something stays my hand. There's something about this moment, something that feels...off. Just then, the figure turns, and I gasp. It's not The Guardian at all - it's a statue, its eyes glowing with an eerie blue light. And on the altar before it lies a sword, its blade gleaming in the dim light. I take a step forward, my heart racing. Could this be the legendary Time-Splitting Sword we've been searching for? And if so, what does it mean for our quest?
