The glowing liquid shard beside it pulses with an eerie light, as if drawing attention to itself. Suddenly, the chamber is filled with the acrid smell of damp earth and decay, and the water level rises even higher. The ground beneath them begins to slope downward, threatening to engulf them in the rising waters. Varika's injured ankle throbs in agony as she tries to maintain her balance on the slippery floor. Merrin's eyes widen in alarm as she grabs onto Varika's arm for support, her own injured ankle screaming in protest. With a burst of adrenaline, Varika manages to hobble towards the hidden chamber door, her face twisted in pain. Merrin follows closely behind, her eyes fixed on the door as she realizes they're running out of time.
