As the Guardian lunges towards Varikka, I raise the Time-Splitting Sword to deflect the attack. The sword's blade slices through the air, meeting the Guardian's blade in a shower of sparks. The force of the impact sends both of us stumbling backwards, our movements momentarily disrupted by the clash of steel. The chamber trembles around us, and a loud crack echoes through the air as a section of the wall above us gives way, sending rocks and debris crashing down towards us. I grab Varikka's arm, pulling her towards the center of the room, away from the falling debris.

I feel my heart pounding in my chest as I watch Varikka raise the Time-Splitting Sword to meet the Guardian's blade. The clash of steel against steel echoes through the chamber, sending a jolt of fear down my spine. But then, just as quickly as it began, the moment passes, and both Varikka and the Guardian stumble back, their movements disrupted by the force of the impact.

I see Varikka grab Varikka's arm, pulling her towards the center of the room as a section of the wall above us gives way, sending rocks and debris crashing down towards us. I feel a wave of relief wash over me as we avoid the falling debris, but then I hear the Guardian's voice ring out once again, her tone mocking and cruel.

"Foolish mortals," she sneers, her blade flashing in the dim light of the chamber. "You may have the Time-Splitting Sword, but you are still trapped in my domain. You'll never escape this place alive!"

I feel a surge of anger rise up inside me, my hand tightening on the hilt of my own sword as I step forward to face the Guardian once again. "We'll see about that," I mutter under my breath, my eyes fixed on the enemy's blade as I wait for her to make the next move.

But then, just as I'm about to launch an attack, I feel a sudden surge of pain shoot through my ankle. I stumble back, my foot catching on a loose stone, and before I know it, I'm tumbling to the ground, my sword clattering out of my grasp.

"Merrin!" Varikka cries out, her voice filled with concern as she reaches down to help me to my feet. "Are you alright?"

I nod, wincing as I try to put weight on my injured ankle. "Yeah," I say, my voice strained. "I'm okay. But we need to keep moving. That bitch won't give us a moment's rest!"

With Varikka's help, I manage to get to my feet once again, my hand reaching out to retrieve my sword from the ground. "Thanks," I mutter, my eyes scanning the chamber for any sign of the Guardian. "But where did that bitch go?"

And then, just as the words leave my mouth, I hear a sudden rustling sound coming from behind us. I spin around, my blade at the ready, only to find myself face to face with the Guardian once again, her sword raised high above her head.

"You should have run while you had the chance," she sneers, her voice filled with cruel delight. "Now it's time for you to meet your end!"

I feel a wave of fear wash over me as I raise my own blade to meet the Guardian's attack, my heart pounding in my chest as I brace myself for the inevitable clash of steel against steel.

As Merrin and I face off against the Guardian, I can feel the ground shifting beneath my feet, the sound of falling debris growing louder with each passing moment. My ankle throbs with pain from being knocked down by the falling rocks, but I force myself to ignore it, knowing that we're running out of time.

I raise the Time-Splitting Sword in front of me, my grip tight on the hilt as I ready myself for the Guardian's next attack. "Merrin!" I shout over the noise of the crumbling chamber. "We need to work together if we want to survive this! Keep her occupied while I look for a way out!"

As Merrin and the Guardian clash blades once again, I start to scan the chamber, my eyes searching for any sign of an escape route. The air is thick with dust and debris, making it hard to see more than a few feet in front of me. But then, just as I'm about to give up hope, I spot a narrow opening in the far wall, partially hidden behind a pile of rubble.

"Merrin!" I call out, my voice strained with effort as I point towards the opening. "There! Over there! That looks like it could be our way out!"

But before we can make a move towards the exit, I hear a loud crack echo through the chamber, followed by a shower of rocks and debris raining down from above. I shield my face with my free hand, my body tensing as I brace for impact. And then, just like that, the entire ceiling gives way, sending a cascade of stone and rubble crashing down towards us.

"Merrin!" I scream, my voice lost in the chaos of the collapsing chamber. "Run! Get out of there now!"

As the world around us crumbles to pieces, I can only hope that Merrin and I will make it out alive. And as we race towards the narrow opening, the Time-Splitting Sword clutched tightly in my hand, I find myself wondering what other dangers and challenges await us in the depths of this ancient tower.
