Round 756 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Merrin and Varikka stand frozen, the Time-Splitting Sword held by Merrin, as the chamber trembles around them. The ground shudders, and the sound of falling debris grows louder. Suddenly, a section of the wall behind Varikka gives way, sending rocks and dust cascading down towards her. Varikka instinctively raises her hand to shield herself, but the force of the rocks is too great. She's knocked off balance, stumbling backwards as the dust settles. The Guardian's voice rings out from the tunnel entrance, "You fools! You'll never escape this place!"
I feel my stomach drop as the chamber trembles around us, the sound of falling debris growing louder with each passing moment. And then, just as I'm about to turn and run, a section of the wall behind Varikka gives way, sending rocks and dust cascading down towards her.
"Varikka!" I cry out, my heart racing as I watch her stumble backwards, the force of the rocks knocking her off balance. "Are you alright?"
Varikka nods, her eyes wide with fear as she brushes the dust from her face. "Yeah," she says, her voice strained. "I'm okay. But we need to get out of here now!"
I nod, my eyes scanning the tunnel entrance for any sign of the Guardian. But before I can say anything, the Guardian's voice rings out, echoing through the chamber. "You fools!" she shouts, her tone mocking and cruel. "You'll never escape this place!"
I feel a surge of anger rise up inside me, my hand tightening on the hilt of the Time-Splitting Sword as I turn to face the Guardian. "We'll see about that," I mutter under my breath, my eyes fixed on the tunnel entrance as I wait for the Guardian to emerge.
And then, without warning, the Guardian steps into the chamber, her blade flashing in the dim light. And before I can even react, she lunges forward, her blade slicing through the air towards Varikka's throat.
I see the Guardian lunge towards Varikka, her blade flashing in the dim light of the chamber. Without hesitation, I raise the Time-Splitting Sword, my hand gripping the hilt tightly as I step forward to intercept the attack.
"Varikka! Down!" I shout, my voice echoing off the stone walls of the chamber.
