Merrin's torch flickers back to life, casting eerie shadows on the walls as she holds it up, momentarily illuminating the darkness. Varikka winces in pain as her injured ankle protests with each step, but she continues to move forward, her grip on Merrin's hand tightening. The ground shudders again, and a faint rumbling noise echoes through the passageway, growing louder with each passing moment.

I let out a gasp of relief as the torch flickers back to life, casting a warm glow over the crumbling ruins. For a moment, I'm frozen in place, my heart pounding in my chest as I try to get my bearings.

"Looks like we're still in one piece," I mutter, my voice trembling slightly as I take in the scene around us. "But we can't afford to let our guard down. This place is coming down around us faster than a house of cards in a hurricane."

I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what's to come. The ground shudders again, and I can hear the sound of rubble crashing down somewhere in the distance.

"We need to keep moving," I say firmly, my hand tightening on Varikka's. "And we need to find a way out of this mess before it's too late."

I begin to lead us forward through the darkness, my senses on high alert for any sign of trouble. The passageway seems to go on forever, winding and twisting through the ancient ruins like a labyrinth designed to trap us forever.

But I can't let fear get the better of me. We have to keep going - to find some way out before it's too late. And so I press forward, my hand gripping Varikka's tightly as we make our way through the darkness, hoping against hope that we'll find a way to survive this nightmare.
