Round 739 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

As they make their way towards the dark building, the ground continues to shake beneath their feet. The air is filled with the acrid scent of decay, and the sickly yellow haze of the wasteland sky casts an eerie glow over the ruined landscape. Suddenly, a section of the crumbling wall collapses, sending a cloud of dust and debris into the air. The Guardian bursts from the rubble, her eyes fixed intently on Merrin.
I freeze as the Guardian emerges from the rubble, my heart pounding in my chest as I see the look of pure malice in her eyes. She's coming for me - and there's nowhere left to run.
Varikka tenses beside me, her hand tightening on her mace as she prepares to fight. But even with her strength, we're outmatched here. The ground is too unstable, the air too thick with dust and ash. We need to find a way out - and fast.
I take a step back, my eyes scanning the ruins for any sign of an exit. There - a narrow opening in the wall, just barely visible through the haze. It's our only chance.
I grab Varikka's arm, pulling her towards the opening as I yell over the din. "This way! We need to get out of here now!"
We race towards the opening, the Guardian's footsteps echoing behind us as she gives chase. The ground shakes with each step, and I can feel the weight of the collapsing building pressing down on us from all sides.
But we can't stop. We can't look back. All that matters is getting to safety - and finding a way to survive whatever horrors this forsaken place has in store for us next.
I feel a chill run down my spine as the Guardian emerges from the rubble, her eyes fixed on Merrin with a look of pure malice. I know we're in trouble - the ground is shaking too much for a fair fight, and the air is thick with dust and ash. But Merrin's right - we can't stand here and wait to be caught.
I tighten my grip on my mace as we race towards the narrow opening in the wall, the Guardian's footsteps echoing behind us like a death knell. The weight of Merrin on my back shifts with each step, and I can feel her own tension as she scans for any sign of danger ahead.
As we approach the opening, I catch a glimpse of movement in the shadows beyond - a flash of something dark and ominous, lurking just out of sight. But we don't have a choice - we have to keep moving forward, no matter what lies ahead.
I take a deep breath, steeling myself for whatever may come next as I lead Merrin through the narrow opening and into the depths of this forsaken place. The Guardian may be close behind us, but something tells me that the true test of our courage is still to come - and I'll be damned if I let anything stop us from facing it together.
