As Elric speaks, his words hang in the air like a challenge. "The Time-Splitting Sword can only be wielded by one who has faced the darkness within themselves," he says, his eyes gleaming with an otherworldly intensity. "It is not a sword for the faint of heart."

Merrin's grip on her mace tightens as Elric's words cut through the tension. She feels a surge of determination rise up within her, but it's tempered by Varikka's warning glance. Elric continues, his voice weaving a spell of persuasion. "But I sense that you are not those who will falter. You have already proven your courage in the face of the unknown."

Varikka takes a step forward, her eyes locked on Elric's face. "What do you mean?" she demands, her voice laced with suspicion.

Merrin

Merrin · Rogue

I peer at Elric intently, my brow furrowed as I try to make sense of his cryptic words. The Time-Splitting Sword... it sounds like something out of legend, a weapon of immense power that only the worthy can wield. But worthy of what? And how do we prove ourselves worthy in the face of this... thing... that's bearing down on us? I glance over at Varikka, seeing the same mixture of curiosity and suspicion on her face. We're both thinking the same thing - this could be another trap, another trick to lure us into a false sense of security. But what choice do we have? We can't keep running forever, not with that creature on our heels. We need to find a way to stand and fight, to face whatever's coming for us head-on. I take a step forward, my mace at the ready as I fix Elric with a hard stare. "Alright," I say, my voice tight with tension, "You've got one chance to tell us what we need to know. Start talking."

My eyes flick to the door behind him, wondering what might be waiting for us on the other side. But I know we can't just run blindly into whatever's out there - we need information, and Elric seems to have it. I keep my guard up, my muscles coiled and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. Whatever this is, whatever's really going on here - we're in over our heads, and we need all the help we can get. But I also know that we can't trust everything we hear. This could be another trap, another trick to lure us into a false sense of security. So I'll listen to what Elric has to say, but I won't let my guard down for a second. I glance over at Varikka, seeing the pain and determination in her eyes. She's in no condition to be fighting, not with that leg of hers. But I also know that she won't back down, not while there's still a chance to survive this mess we've gotten ourselves into. So I stand my ground, my eyes fixed on Elric as I wait for him to speak. Whatever he has to say, it better be good - because right now, our lives might just depend on it.

Varrika · Fighter

I step forward, my mace held at the ready as I stare Elric down. "You speak in riddles, old man," I growl, "But we don't have time for your games. That thing is getting closer by the second, and if we're going to stand a chance against it, we need answers now."

I glance over at Varikka, seeing the pain and exhaustion etched into every line of her face. "Varikka, can you move?" I ask, my voice tight with concern. "We might need to make a run for it if this doesn't pan out."

But even as I say the words, I know how futile they sound. With Varikka's injuries and that creature on our heels, we're trapped between a rock and a hard place. Our only hope is to find a way to stand and fight, to face whatever's coming for us head-on.

And so I turn back to Elric, my eyes narrowing as I study his face. "Alright," I say, my voice a low growl, "You want to know if we're worthy of this sword? Then tell us how to use it. Tell us how to stop that thing from tearing us apart."

I take a step forward, my mace raised high as I fix Elric with a hard stare. "And don't leave anything out," I warn, "Because if you do, and we end up dead because of it... well, let's just say that won't be good for anyone."

My heart pounds in my chest as I wait for his response, my muscles coiled and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice.

I glance over at Varikka, seeing the same mixture of curiosity and suspicion on her face. We're both thinking the same thing - this could be our only chance at survival, but it could also be our undoing.

So I stand my ground, my eyes fixed on Elric as I wait for him to speak. Whatever he has to say, it better be good - because right now, our lives might just depend on it.
