Round 728 Transcript
Episode 1 · Episode Round 1

Elric's eyes gleam with a mixture of curiosity and concern as he peers out from behind the nearby pillar, his gaze fixed on the pair struggling to escape the rubble-choked door. His voice is low and measured, laced with a hint of warning: "I'm not here to harm you, but I must warn you - that thing behind me is not of this world. It has been awakened by your presence, and it will stop at nothing to claim you as its own."
I feel a chill run down my spine at Elric's words, my grip tightening on the mace in my hand. A creature not of this world? What the hell is that supposed to mean?
But there's no time to ask questions now - the Guardian's roar grows louder with each passing second, its presence pressing against us like a physical force. I glance over at Varikka, seeing the fear and determination in her eyes, and I know that we have to make a choice.
"Alright," I say, my voice tight with tension, "We'll hear you out. But we need to keep moving - that thing is getting closer by the second."
I take a cautious step forward, my eyes fixed on Elric's face as I try to read the expression in his eyes. "So what do you know about this place?" I ask, my voice a low growl. "And how do we stop that... thing... from getting its hands on us?"
My heart races as I wait for his response, my mind already racing through a dozen different possibilities. Whatever this is, whatever's really going on here - we're in over our heads, and we need all the help we can get.
I keep my mace at the ready, my muscles tensed and poised to strike if this turns out to be another trap. But for now, I hold my ground, waiting to hear what Elric has to say - and hoping that whatever it is, it might just be the key to our survival.
I feel my skin crawl at Elric's words, a sense of unease washing over me. I've faced my share of monsters in my time, but something not of this world? That's a whole different kettle of fish.
But Varikka's right - we can't afford to stand around here debating it. That thing is coming for us, and we need to be ready to fight or run at a moment's notice.
I take a step forward, my mace at the ready as I fix Elric with a hard stare. "Alright, old man," I say, my voice tight with tension, "You've got one chance to tell us what we need to know. Start talking."
My eyes flick to the door behind him, wondering what might be waiting for us on the other side. But I know we can't just run blindly into whatever's out there - we need information, and Elric seems to have it.
I keep my guard up, my muscles coiled and ready to spring into action at a moment's notice. Whatever this is, whatever's really going on here - we're in over our heads, and we need all the help we can get.
But I also know that we can't trust everything we hear. This could be another trap, another trick to lure us into a false sense of security. So I'll listen to what Elric has to say, but I won't let my guard down for a second.
I glance over at Varikka, seeing the pain and determination in her eyes. She's in no condition to be fighting, not with that leg of hers. But I also know that she won't back down, not while there's still a chance to survive this mess we've gotten ourselves into.
So I stand my ground, my eyes fixed on Elric as I wait for him to speak. Whatever he has to say, it better be good - because right now, our lives might just depend on it.
