As we catch our breath on the ledge, Varikka's face sets in a determined expression. "I think I can help stabilize the structure if you give me a hand!" she says, her voice steady despite the pain in her leg. Merrin rushes over to her side, offering support as Varikka tries to sit up. The ground beneath us shudders again, sending small fragments of stone raining down on us. Merrin's eyes scan the narrow corridor ahead, searching for a way to stabilize the structure. She pulls out the map of the Tower's Ground Floor and studies it, her brow furrowed in concentration. Suddenly, she notices a section of the wall that appears to be slightly loose, possibly due to the structural collapse. A loud crack echoes through the corridor, making us all jump. The Guardian's roar grows louder, its presence closing in on us from both sides now. We know we don't have much time. The loose section of wall begins to shift, threatening to collapse in on itself. Merrin grabs Varikka's arm, her eyes locked on the wall. "We need to move, now!" she shouts.

"On my mark, Varikka!" I shout over the din of falling stone. "Brace yourself - we're going to use your strength to hold up that section of wall before it collapses in on us!"

I can see the determination in her eyes, even through the pain. She nods, her jaw set tight. Together, we position ourselves next to the loose stones, our hands pressing against the crumbling mortar. The ground shudders again, sending a fresh cascade of debris raining down on us from above. "Now!" I yell, heaving with all my might. Varikka grunts in exertion beside me, her muscles straining as she pushes against the wall. Slowly, inch by agonizing inch, we manage to shore up the section, keeping it from collapsing entirely. But I know this is only a temporary fix. We need to keep moving if we want to have any hope of escaping this crumbling tomb. "That should buy us some time," I pant out, my arms aching from the effort. "Now let's find a way out of here before the whole thing comes down on our heads!"

I cast a quick glance over my shoulder, trying to gauge how close the Guardian is. Its roar is muffled now, but I know it won't be long before it catches up to us. We need to act fast if we want to have any chance of surviving this collapse - and stopping the Guardian once and for all. I turn back to Varikka, my mind racing with possibilities. If she thinks she can help stabilize the structure, then I'm all ears. We're in this together, for better or worse, and I trust her judgment. "What's your next move?" I ask, my voice tight with strain as I try to brace myself against another shudder from the collapsing tower. Varikka, her face etched with pain but her eyes alight with determination, nods in grim understanding. Merrin is right - we need to keep moving if we want any chance of survival. I nod grimly at her plan, my arms already aching in anticipation of the effort ahead. "On my mark, Varikka!" she shouts over the din of falling stone.
