The air thickens with noxious gas as you and Varikka flee through the corridor, your lungs burning with each ragged breath. The ground shakes beneath your feet, and you can hear the sound of stone crumbling somewhere behind you. Suddenly, the Guardian's roar echoes through the passageway, its sword slicing through the darkness mere feet away from your backs. The tunnel narrows, forcing you to move closer together, and you can feel the heat from the Guardian's blade as it gains on you. Varikka's hand tightens around yours, her grip a reassuring presence in the chaos. The door you spotted earlier is now just a few steps ahead, but will it be enough to save you?

"Varikka, look out!" I scream as the Guardian's sword slices towards her, barely missing her arm by inches. I can see the terror in Varikka's eyes, the desperation etched into every line of her face, and I know that we're running out of time. The door is just ahead, its handle gleaming in the dim light of the passageway, but the Guardian is gaining on us with each passing second. I can feel the heat of its breath on the back of my neck, the weight of its armor as it slams into me from behind. "Varikka, go!" I shout, pushing her towards the door with all my might. "Get out of here and don't look back!"

I can hear the Guardian's roar behind me, the sound of its sword slicing through the air as it comes for me once more. But I don't have time to be afraid. All that matters now is getting Varikka to safety. I turn to face the Guardian, my hand reaching for my crossbow as I ready myself for the final confrontation. The noxious gas is still thick in the air, burning my lungs with each ragged breath, but I know that I have to fight with everything I've got. *And so, with a final scream of defiance, I launch myself at the Guardian, my crossbow aimed straight at its heart. This is it. This is the moment that will determine our fate. And as the bolt leaves my hand and streaks towards the Guardian's chest, I can only pray that it will be enough to save us both.
